		<description>Its nuts in the rockies.  The whole forest, from the view point of a mountain top, is red.  The beetles are in wisconsin as well.  They don&#039;t have natural checks and balances of fire, so they continue to munch their way through North America... i think.... </description>

		<description>I returned to Kamloops BC a couple of years ago. Was shocked to see the trees completely decimated by the pine beetles, everywhere!!!! Just dead sticks standing out like giant canes. And further along the Trans Canadian Hwy, square kilometres alongside more square kilometres of logged trees tied up in floating storage on the Thompson with the ice sheets drifting in. So heart breaking. Meanwhile, the valley here at home is populated with very happy and healthy green creatures, pillars of smoke rise here and there, and by the ash you could say that it&#039;s ashing.</description>
